More about me

If you really want to know more about me, here is a description of irrelevant facts.

I’m Italian, my name is Pietro but some people find it hard to pronounce so you can call me Zuco. English is not my native language.

I used to live between Tokyo/London/Barcelona and now I’m based in Brighton (UK)

I grew up in the 8bits generation. My first computer was an Olivetti M10 I was 9 years old and I started programming it in Basic. I was also surrounded by photographic gear, because my father was a photographer. Then I got a Commodore 64 and I was unaware that from that moment, learning BASIC, machine code and creating sprites just for fun, I would be starting my career.

Since I was a teenager I was interested in Japan and its culture: its food, martial arts, technology… Everything! I first went to Japan in the year 2000 and since then I kept going back and forward until I was able to settle in Tokyo in 2006 working for a Japanese company.

My hobbies are: photography (some of my pictures here), programming, tinkering, electronics, martial arts, electronic music, languages and dead languages as well.

You can reach me by email: pietro (at) zuco (dot) org English, Japanese, Italian or Spanish are fine. Or you can find me in the Tokyo Linux Users Group mailing list.
